Melissa Annette D’Cruz

Melissa Annette D’Cruz is a multimedia lecturer who has always been drawn to stories about people, memory, and the quiet spaces where emotions linger.

Red Strings began as a short story written during the 2020 lockdown, at a time when the world felt distant and uncertain. What started as a small idea slowly grew into something more — a return to storytelling, to imagination, and to a version of herself that had once loved writing deeply.
She continues to explore storytelling through both writing and visual art, often inspired by the idea of creating spaces that feel safe, reflective, and quietly meaningful.
